A delegation from the Workers' Party of Korea visits Vietnam and the two sides agree to strengthen cooperation

According to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim Seong-nam, head of the International Department of the Workers' Party, led the delegation to visit Vietnam. On Monday, they met with Le Hoai Trung, head of the Central Committee for External Relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in Hanoi.

The report states that the two sides agreed to expand and strengthen the political relations between the two parties and the two countries, expand cooperation in various fields, support each other on the international stage, and push the bilateral relationship to a new level.

Kim Seong-nam mentioned the struggle line and policy of the Workers' Party against the United States , and emphasized the importance of developing friendly and cooperative relations between North Korea and Vietnam.

Le Hoai Trung stated that the relationship between the two parties and the two countries of Vietnam and North Korea is based on the concept of socialism, expressing a firm position to develop the traditional friendship between Vietnam and North Korea.

Kim Seong-nam's trip to the three countries includes visits to zx, Vietnam, and Laos. Laos is the host country of this year's ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) and other ASEAN-related meetings. The ASEAN Regional Forum is the only regional forum that North Korea participates in.

In addition, the Korean Central News Agency reported that Yoon Jeong-ho, the North Korean minister of foreign economy, led an economic delegation to visit Russia on Tuesday. The report did not specify the purpose of the visit.
