Biden has signed a bill involving the mandatory divestiture of TikTok.

US President Biden said on Wednesday that he had signed a foreign aid bill worth a total of $95 billion (HKD 741 billion) on the day, making the bill officially become a law. The bill includes a provision that requires the social media TikTok to be divested from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance.

The bill stipulates that ByteDance has 9 to 12 months to sell TikTok, otherwise TikTok will be banned from operating in the US.
