US Ambassador to Japan: Seeking allies to help isolate China


U.S. Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel said the Biden administration is seeking to reverse China's attempts to isolate Asian countries such as the Philippines with the help of Japan and other allies in the region.

Emanuel said that the US strategy is to reverse the situation and make China an isolated party, emphasizing the importance of alliance with Japan.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who is visiting the United States, will hold a summit meeting with President Biden on Wednesday local time. He is expected to seek to deepen defense cooperation with the United States and promote coordination and cooperation between the Self-Defense Forces and the US military stationed in Japan.
