43 Earthquake of Taiwan partial evacuation of TSMC factory areas

A 7.2-magnitude strong earthquake occurred in the sea area off Hualien, Taiwan. It is the largest earthquake in the local area in 25 years. According to foreign media reports, some factory areas of TSMC and UMC have been evacuated and machines have been shut down.

TSMC, the world's most advanced chip foundry, said it had evacuated some employees and was confirming the impact of the earthquake.
UMC issued a statement saying that some machines were shut down, and personnel in Zhukeng and Nanko were evacuated according to operating standards.
Aspiun pointed out that the company is operating normally.
